Rare Antique Ottoman Horn and Bone Sherbert Spoon

Horn bowl and bone handle with hand-carved acorn finial. These spoons were used to serve dessert and sweet foods, typically fruit sherbert, in the homes of nobility and wealthy merchants of Istanbul and the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th and 19th Centuries.

Istanbul, Mid to Late 19th Century.
