Rare Antique Ottoman Coral Sherbert Spoon

Wooden bowl with alternating bands of hand carved coral and engraved brass on the handle. These spoons were used to serve dessert and sweet foods, typically fruit sherbert, in the homes of nobility and wealthy merchants of Istanbul and the ottoman empire in the late 18th and 19th Centuries.
